EVENT: Cinco De Mayo at Coolray Field
It’s baseball season....no, it’s beer drinking season. It’s both!
The 4th annual Gwinnett Beer Festival will take place on Saturday, May 5th at Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Stripers in Lawrenceville. With unlimited samples of over 150 craft beers, live music by The Geeks Band, delicious food, Cinco de Mayo Festivities and more- the event is Gwinnett’s biggest Cinco De Mayo Party! Brought to you by the creators of Suwanee Beer Fest, voted “Best Festival in Gwinnett” by the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Gwinnett Daily Post Reader’s Choice Awards, the event organizers are committed to making this Gwinnett’s next legendary beer festival. This event actually takes place both INSIDE the stadium and ON the field, offering a 360 degree, beer-tasting experience with tents lining the concourse and berm. This is an event designed especially for craft beer geeks and baseball lovers!
Tickets are on sale now at gwinnettbeerfest.com. Tickets are $45 for General Admission and $110 for VIP. But don’t wait – ticket prices increase to $50 the day of the event, if available. General Admission guests receive unlimited samples of over 150 beers, a commemorative tasting glass, and access to all vendors, games and live entertainment. VIP tickets are available-but very limited. VIP ticketholders will receive everything included in General Admission, plus: one hour early entry to the stadium, a behind the scenes tour of Coolray Field, access to the 2nd level party decks and air-conditioned suites; a catered food spread, a 2018 Gwinnett Beer Fest T-shirt and free, designated parking.
In between sips, festival attendees can enjoy delicious food and “shop” at local vendor booths in the stadium. Other festivities include Margarita Samples with Jose Cuervo, Run the bases events, and specialty beer tents located on the field and at each base. Tannery Row Ale House will also be cooking up street tacos, offering free shuttles to and from the event, as well as hosting a Cinco De Mayo after party back at the Tannery.
Gwinnett Beer Fest is dedicated to supporting and celebrating the American Craft beer culture while also giving back to the community. A portion of proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organization, Kingdom Kids. Kingdom Kids grants wishes for local children battling diseases or other hardships. Funds from previous events have helped grant wishes such as Disney World trips and even a new puppy. To date, festival organizers have donated over $75,000 to local nonprofits.
