Sonesta ES Suites Atlanta - Perimeter Center North ***REVIEW***
Sonesta ES Suites Atlanta has changed the way that I look at extended stay properties. They have set the bar so high that I will only seek their properties throughout the states. I travel frequently but I have never experienced the warm hospitality that I received here. When I hear 'extended stay' it usually means outdated dorm-like rooms with little to no conveniences. The staff is usually not very helpful nor could they care any less about your stay. This was not the case here.
Upon entering the lobby, I was greeted with bright walls, elegant wall fixtures and smiling staff ready to tend to my needs. Just walking into the building filled my heart with joy. I was elated with no idea why. The atmosphere exhibits a familiar feel that immediately puts your mind at ease. The clerk at the front desk checked me within minutes. She shared a multitude of information including the times the pool opens and closes. It put my mind at ease that it is a smoke free property. I have allergies and smoke is gross.
They have a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning at 6:30 AM. I am not aware of ANY extended stay hotels that offer such an extensive continental breakfast. There were no frozen eggo waffles on this bar. Everything was fresh. I can tell and taste the difference. The toaster station was equipped with a variety of muffins, scones, bagels, english muffins and toast. The grill hosted fresh sausage, eggs and buttermilk biscuits. Lucky Charms, Raisin Bran and cornflakes filled out the cereal bar. Last but not least there were fresh fruits such as bananas, apples and oranges for any takers.
The suite was incredible and I did not want to go home! It was officially my new home away from home. I'm not sure what the rooms looked like before but I was in love with what I saw. This newly renovated suite was furnished with every amenity that a traveling professional, like myself, could ever need. With all the devices that I carry, it was refreshing to find multiple outlets in every room. I was able to charge my iPad, iPhone, camera batteries and lighting kits without running out of outlets.
Within 5 minutes of taking in my new surroundings, there was a knock at my door. It was Erica, the sales manager. She wanted to greet me with a gift bag of goodies. She was the sweetest and asked if I needed anything additional. This was yet another example of why Sonesta is my favorite luxury brand. They go the extra mile to make you feel special. Not many brands do that these days.
It had not one but two large flatscreen televisions. One was in the common area and the other was in the bedroom. Naturally, these premium flat screens were not cheap knockoffs. They were Samsung. Talk about the cream of the crop. The picture and sound were out of this world!
The king size bed was both plush and comfortable. It was like sleeping on a cloud in the sky. I fell asleep instantaneously on the feather pillows. I could get used to this lifestyle.
We need a Sonesta in every city. I loved the vanity! It reminded me of the vanity my grandmother had. It was absolutely gorgeous. The walk in closet was spacious and could hold a great bit of luggage.
Some of the most relaxing fragrances in the shampoo, conditioner and body wash awaited me in the tub. These scents were exactly what I needed as I got started on my day. The bountiful towels made sure that I would not run short.
It all starts in the kitchen. I was provided with plates, cups, bowls, cooking utensils and so much more. There is literally nothing missing. Sonesta thought of everything. The full size refrigerator can house all your groceries. I didn't get a chance to use the cook top stove but it was marvelous to admire. Coffee maker, microwave, toaster and dishwasher were all at my disposal.
I fell in love with the desk area as I need an ergonomic space to work while on the road. The free wifi was a plus and so easy to connect to. From the moment I opened up the door and walked in, I knew it was going to be a memorable experience.
I try to stay on task with exercise so I was thankful to hear about 'The Mat'. This is the fitness room with a bike, elliptical and treadmill. There are no excuses not to get your workout on at some point.
The pool was beautiful. The sun hit it just right as I snapped a few shots. The patio area had multiple beach chairs and even had a fire pit.
Thank you Sonesta ES Suites Atlanta for accommodating my needs during my stay. I could not have had more peace of mind anywhere else. I will definitely return to visit. Keep up the good work.
