RELEASE: Disney's ALADDIN Tickets Now On Sale!
Performances Begin on September 12 and Play for Two Weeks
Through September 23 at Fox Theatre
Disney Theatrical Productions and Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney’s Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, July 13. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at the Fox Theatre on Wednesday, September 12 for a limited two week engagement through Sunday, September 23 as the premier of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2018/2019 season.
Tickets start at $34 and are available by visiting FoxTheatre.org/Aladdin, by calling 1-855-285-8499, or by visiting the Fox Theatre Box Office (660 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta GA 30308). Group orders of 10 or more may be placed by calling 404-881-2000. Premium Ticket Packages, which include a prime seat location, a commemorative souvenir program and an exclusive merchandise item, are also available.
Aladdin will play at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre September 12 – September 23, 2018. The performance schedule is as follows:
Tuesday-Thursday 7:30 p.m.
Friday 8 p.m.
Saturday 2 p.m., 8 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m., 6:30 p.m.
Performances on the first week start on Wednesday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be an additional show on Thursday, September 13 at 1 p.m.
Ticket buyers are reminded that Fox Theatre is the only official retail ticket outlets for all performances. Ticket buyers who purchase tickets from a ticket broker or any third party should be aware that Fox Theatre is unable to reprint or replace lost or stolen tickets and is unable to contact patrons with information regarding time changes or other pertinent updates regarding the performance.
Aladdin opened on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre to critical acclaim on March 20, 2014 and quickly established itself as one of the biggest new blockbusters in recent years, breaking 12 New Amsterdam Theatre house records and welcoming over seven million people worldwide. The animated film Aladdin was released by Disney in 1992 and was a critical and box office smash, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year.
The film won the Oscar for Best Original Score and introduced the hit song “A Whole New World,” which won the second of the film’s two Academy Awards as Best Original Song. The Peabo Bryson/Regina Belle recording of the tune soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Aladdin is designed by seven-time Tony-winning scenic designer Bob Crowley, six-time Tony-winning lighting designer Natasha Katz, two-time Tony-winning costume designer Gregg Barnes and sound designer Ken Travis.
The production team also includes illusion designer Jim Steinmeyer, hair designer Josh Marquette and makeup designer Milagros Medina-Cerdeira. The music team is headed by music supervisor and music director Michael Kosarin, who also created the vocal and incidental music arrangements, joined by orchestrator Danny Troob and dance music arranger Glen Kelly.
