Dream Look to Win Eight Straight Against Sparks Tuesday
Atlanta will try to tie league’s longest streak this season with eight
LOS ANGELES –The Atlanta Dream will go for its eighth straight win Tuesday evening when it travels to the Staples Center to face the Los Angeles Sparks beginning at 10:30 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed live on WNBA League Pass.
After claiming its seventh straight victory Sunday, the Dream (15-9) set a new franchise record for games won in a row. Atlanta defeated the league-leading Seattle Storm, 87-74, behind Elizabeth Williams' 17 points and eight rebounds.
Los Angeles (15-10) return to action after defeating the Chicago Sky, 93-76, Sunday night. Candace Parker led the Sparks in scoring with 24 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
The two teams will meet for the second time this season Tuesday. The Sparks lead the series 1-0, winning most recently, 72-64, on June 12 in Los Angeles.
Earlier in the day, the league named Tiffany Hayes Eastern Conference Player of the Week. This is the second time Hayes has been player of the week this season and second in her seven-year career.
