EvolVR Launches First Ever Virtual Reality Yoga and Meditation Classes

EvolVR Launches First Ever Virtual Reality Yoga and Meditation Classes

Starting September 12, EvolVR offers 5 weekly Yoga and Meditation classes on the SocialVR platform AltspaceVR, and will expand to other platforms and personal growth experiences in the following months. Founder Jeremy Nickel and the other four certified instructors Lisa Buyer, Kevin Kowalski, Kim Montenegro, and Michael Zhang bring together a unique background in technology, yoga and meditation. Together they will experiment within this new environment to expand traditional spiritual technologies beyond what is possible in real life.

"We've only scratched the surface of what's possible for spiritual exploration and personal growth in Virtual Reality. With new hardware and software becoming available every week, and the price of the necessary equipment dropping steadily, the adventure is really ahead of us," said EvolVR founder and CEO, Rev. Jeremy D. Nickel.

By taking advantage of a new generation of VR headsets like the Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, and HTC Vive, EvolVR has already hosted more than 80 beta-events across four SocialVR platforms. Together, these events attracted more than 1000 participants from around the world including Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Sweden, South Africa, Mexico, Canada and the United States. Attendees ranged in age from 14 to 65 and came from all walks of life. EvolVR offers these 45 minute live events for free, but soon will add smaller, more intimate groups, with more focused programming. These will be available for a small fee.
