Bert's Big Adventure Hosted Their Summer Family Reunion Adventure at Zoo Atlanta

On Sunday, August 1st, Bert's Big Adventure hosted their private Summer Family Reunion Adventure at Zoo Atlanta fueled by Gas South. Guests were greeted from a distance with air hugs and waves by Bert's Big Adventure staff and Fairy Godparent volunteers. Families enjoyed a VIP evening exploring Zoo Atlanta and all of its spectacular animals, along with five Keeper Talks where Zoo Atlanta's animal experts shared an inside educational scoop with the families. In between rides on the Zoo Train and the Endangered Species Carousel, guests enjoyed individually packaged boxed meals and a variety of popsicles and ice cream treats.

As part of the special evening, Moe's Southwest Grill Atlanta Co-oppresented a check for $94,000 to Bert's Big Adventure as a result of their month-long fundraising efforts in June. Every Wednesday in June, all 70+ Atlanta-area Moe's Southwest Grill® locations donated 10 percent of their net sales in support of Bert's Big Adventure. This donation will not only aid in funding the organization, which provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families, but also provides support for their year-round initiatives such as quarterly Family Reunion Adventures and Fairy Godparent volunteer program.
