“Country Music Will Never Die” is every country music lover’s declaration that this genre is here to stay. It’s an up-tempo anthem, with driving instrumentation, and lyrics of simple truthfulness that embody the American way of life.
“It echoed through the mountains of Carolina ragged and real as an old coal miner Played by the hands of the weary and hard-workin' souls Foot stompin on the front porch keepin time Whole family singing, no spot light It was all that they had way back before the radio As long as there's a back road A church in a small town Black powder in a rifle And red dirt on the ground A hound dog still a-howling and that eagle still flies The Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise Country music'll never die”
“This song was co-written by me, Adam Wheeler and Helene Cronin during the COVID shut down when I feared that the music industry could cease to exist,” states Arthur. “I found comfort in the fact that country music didn’t start with the ‘industry,’ it began with individuals who put their struggles to song, long before the radio. This song reminds us all that country music is the sound of life. As long as we’re living, Country Music Will Never Die.”
