Forsyth Farmers’ Market to Encourage Community Conversation About Food, Spirituality and Healing on Wed., Sept. 25
Forsyth Farmers’ Market, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Savannah, Ga. that organizes south Georgia’s largest farmers’ market, supports local farmers and expands community access to fresh, healthy food through innovative year-round programs as well as the Saturday market.
WHAT:
Community Conversation. The Forsyth Farmers’ Market is delighted to partner with The Y Bar Savannah, a new event space in Savannah, Ga., to encourage a “Community Conversation” about food, spirituality and healing. Forsyth Farmers’ Market Director of Community Building & Education Aja Embry will lead a conversation about the importance of connecting with the natural ecosystem and how eating healthy foods can help heal the body.
Guests will enjoy a taste of the market with a charcuterie-style spread featuring produce and delicious food items directly from Forsyth Farmers’ Market vendors. Additional event highlights include an inspiring talk by healer, priestess and Holistic Wellness Coach Janiqwa “Iya J.” Nganga. This event is free and open to the public.
