GRANT PARK SUMMER SHADE FESTIVAL CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNUAL EVENT THIS AUGUST

Free, Family-Friendly Festival With Live Music, an Artist Market, Food Trucks, Beer, a 5K Run, and Much More

Atlanta, Georgia (May 5, 2022) – A favorite tradition, the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival will welcome music and art lovers to Atlanta’s oldest park for the 20th year on Saturday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Back after a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Grant Park Conservancy could not be more thrilled to announce the festival's return to the picturesque park.

Produced by and benefiting the Grant Park Conservancy, the two-day, fun-filled festival will once again feature an impressive lineup of live music throughout the weekend, in addition to an expansive artist market, Kids Zone, 5K run, family-friendly activities and much more. Open to all ages and free to attend, the 20th annual festival will also have a diverse selection of local food trucks and vendors with offerings for all tastes, cocktails and craft beers.

On Saturday morning at 8 a.m., runners, walkers and strollers are invited to take part in the annual Adams Realtors Run for the Park 5K, which includes a free kid’s tot trot for ages 5 and under and a stroller stroll along the race course. Raising funds to support the Grant Park Conservancy, the course map start and finish will be at the main entrance to Zoo Atlanta. Pre-registration will be available soon. Parking: Paid parking is available in the Grant Park Gateway parking facility (759 Boulevard, 30312), and the parking lot off of Cherokee Avenue in the Zoo Atlanta lot (800 Cherokee Avenue, 30315). There is also street parking along Cherokee Avenue, Atlanta Avenue, Park Avenue, Berne Street and Sydney Street. There will be a bike valet available for cyclists attending the event.
