Music, Art, & Thrills: Summer Shade Festival Announces Entertainment Lineup
The countdown is on! The Grant Park Conservancy Summer Shade Festival is almost here, kicking off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 24th, and Sunday, August 25th. Festival-goers are invited to immerse themselves in a weekend brimming with excitement and entertainment, as this year’s event brings a perfect blend of cherished traditions and thrilling new attractions. With an eclectic lineup of live music, delicious eats, a vibrant artist market with 150 booths, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The festival is open to all ages and free to attend.
In addition to sipping, nibbling, shopping, and perusing works of art, festival-goers are invited to enjoy nonstop live music on two stages throughout the weekend. Featuring a curated mix of local and regional talent, Saturday's Main Stage music lineup includes Yes Ma'am, The Judies, Front Porch Session Players, Das Kaiser, Rare Birds, Migrant Worker, Khaliko, The Higher Choir and Magnapop, while just a short stroll away, the Gazebo stage will showcase lively sets from Rusty Cars, Chasing the Light, and Fresh Press. On Sunday, the festival will wrap up with engaging performances on the Main Stage from Whatever She Is, Jeremy Ray and the Howdy Men, Solid State Radio, Pre Dawn Pours, Rrest and Jackson County Line, while the Gazebo stage will keep the energy alive with Peet Midnite and the Back Taxes, Chasing the Light, and Ray Dunlap, offering the perfect finale to the weekend. To kick this off, Saturday will begin with a yoga demonstration from Yoga Poses Daily while Sunday will feature a captivating and educational martial arts demonstration from Cuong Nhu. This year, the festival introduces an electrifying new twist with the debut of family-friendly wrestling performances by Deep South Wrestling, an Atlanta favorite since 1983. Expect thrilling acrobatics, colorful characters, awe-inspiring feats of strength, and a must-see Tag Team Championship Tournament that will deliver double the action. For the little ones, the Kids Bouncy House Village returns bigger and better than ever, offering an expansive oasis of fun with inflatable attractions, obstacle courses, and interactive games. Plus, imaginative balloon animals and bubbles will keep the smiles coming all weekend long.
