About The Lagniappe Krewe Emergency Relief Fund:
Just as the city of New Orleans was on the brink of recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Ida and COVID-19 struck, completely incapacitating the town and its food industry. Established by Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group Founders, Jennifer and Eric the Lagniappe Krewe Emergency Relief Fund is a nonprofit organization meant to help hospitality workers and their immediate families with emergency situations beyond their control which have caused financial hardship. It has provided direct cash relief to service industry applicants who submit documentation of their pay stubs. This fund has been the quickest way to put funds back in the hands of service industry workers who were left helpless and unemployed.
