September’s Monthly Event It’s Givin’ Brunch Supports Georgia Transplant Foundation This Sunday

ATLANTA:Thompson Atlanta – Buckhead, an award-winning luxury hotel located at 415 East Paces Ferry Rd NE, Atlanta, is thrilled to announce the exciting next edition ofIt’s Givin’ Brunchthis Sunday, Sept. 29, at Tesserae from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The monthly event is dedicated to supporting local non-profit charity organizations and will feature a partnership with the Georgia Transplant Foundation for the first fall charity brunch.

Spearheaded by DeMarco McMillan, Director of Sales and Marketing at Thompson Atlanta – Buckhead, alongside Marian Goldberg, an Atlanta resident, philanthropist, and longtime supporter and volunteer of several Atlanta-based not-for-profit organizations, this initiative aims to provide crucial support to local charities that have experienced a decline in donations and volunteerism since the pandemic. Each month, the hotel offers a $2,000 check along with 10 percent of the proceeds from the earmarked Sunday brunch date as a donation to the highlighted charity. This initiative not only helps raise funds but also increases awareness about the vital work these organizations do within the community. 

"We wanted to create a platform that brings people together over great food and makes a tangible difference in our community,” said McMillan. “It's Givin' Brunch is our way of supporting the incredible local organizations that work tirelessly to help those in need." 

Since launching in February 2024, Thompson Atlanta – Buckhead’s nine brunch partnerships have included nonprofits such as Dress for Success, Pad the Pandemic Foundation, Silence the Shame, Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, Sugga’s Industries International, Inc., Hope Atlanta, Lost N Found Youth, and Stem ATL Women’s Foundation which have all benefitted.
