TIO LUCHO'S HOSTS FUNDRAISER SUPPORTING CHEF DANIEL LONDOÑO WITH ATLANTA RESTAURANTS




Life changed in an instant for Chef Daniel Londoño, the beloved owner of Little Tokyo, when he was rushed into emergency brain surgery this past December. Known for his unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and the community he built around his restaurant, Daniel now faces a long road to recovery filled with intensive medical care and rehabilitation. On Monday, January 13, 2025, Tio Lucho’s will host a fundraiser, Dine for Daniel, to support Daniel and his family during this challenging time. Beginning at 5 p.m., this collaborative event will bring together some of Atlanta’s favorite restaurants for an evening of exceptional food and heartfelt community spirit. 100% of ticket proceeds will go directly to Daniel’s GoFundMe campaign, helping cover the costs of his surgery, post-operative care, and support for his family and business.


“Dine for Daniel reflects the strength and solidarity of Atlanta’s restaurant community, uniting to support one of its own during a critical time,” says Tio Lucho’s chef and owner, Arnaldo Castillo. “Daniel and his restaurant are a vital part of the city’s culinary landscape, and this evening offers a meaningful opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to others.” 


The event will feature a buffet-style dinner hosted by Chef Castillo and Chef Mikiel Arnold of The Freaking Incan and The Flippin Chicken, with sides and dishes crafted by Atlanta’s culinary community, including contributions from KamayanGigi’s Italian KitchenBreaker BreakerEvergreen Butcher & BakerSweet Auburn Barbecue and more. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at www.tioluchos.com, with all proceeds directly supporting Daniel’s medical expenses and recovery efforts. A full bar will offer a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase. A to-go box option is available for those preferring takeout.
